This introductory year of Islamic studies covers the basic subjects; Aqeedah (Beliefs), Fiqh (Legal Rulings), Seerah (Prophet Biography) alongside learning about spiritual growth and basic etiquettes.
We aim to equip students with the obligatory knowledge needed to practice their faith, with confidence, on a day to day basis.
Our aim is to facilitate the study of Sacred Knowledge in a traditional way, giving students the opportunity to benefit from the company and instruction of teachers with a chain of transmission linking back to our noble Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
In the second year of Islamic studies we build on year one. We look at further issues that are relevant to Muslims and also start touching on some foundational principles by studying the Quran and Hadith (saying of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ).
We hope, not only to educate, but to empower our students to lead confident lives as Muslims in their communities and be ambassadors of Islam.
We now delve into the ancillary sciences and help the student to reach a level of understanding that allows him/her to delve deeper into the religion of Islam. Looking into the methodologies applied and observed in deriving rulings from the Quran and Sunnah. We continue with Fiqh studies, which are related to marriage, and we open the minds of students to critical thinking. We also will touch upon the Arabic language, the essential key to understanding Islam as well as taking a closer look at the noble traits of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
